When you die?

What happens when I die?

This is a question that many people ask, especially people who are seriously ill and could be facing death soon.

Dr. Maurice Rawlings results for study on near-death encounters. Despite that people often talk about "white light" about ½ people who experience out-of-body encounters have visions of hell instead of heaven....many sources do not report this information.

Mark Twain, said that there are "only two things that are sure, death and taxes"

Jesus the expert on eternity – see what it says about Him in Eph 4:8-9 Therefore it says, "WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE LED CAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVE GIFTS TO MEN." 9 (Now this expression, "He ascended," what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth? NASU

Matt 10:28-29 28 "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. NASU

Many willing to believe in "heaven" or "good" after death and yet they are unwilling to think there are is a "hell" or "torment" after death.

There is life after death for all, even if you don’t think there is but the thing we must face is where will be spend our eternity.

Jesus said "I am the way, and the truth and the life, no one come to the Father but through me" John 14: 6

If you have never asked Jesus to forgive your sins, then you are facing eternity in hell. If you want to avoid hell.

A— Admit you are a sinner.
B–– Believe that Jesus died to pay the price of your sins.
C— Confess your sins and invite Jesus into your life.

Do it today!

Hypocrites Inside!

Many people are upset that when they do go to church they see it has hypocrites inside?

Why is the church full of Hypocrites?

Well first we need to understand
  • That no one can stand hypocrites....not even Jesus.
  • One of the very purposes that God has in founding the church is to bring the "hypocrites" in.
  • People are people and are always needing to learn.
  • The church is there for sinners (hypocrites).
Disobedience is not an valid excuse though, we must see to learn the truth. We also need to understand that just because we see one hypocrite it does not make all Christian’s hypocrites.

Look to Jesus has your example. He is the only one who is perfect. James 5:12 says, " But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment." NASU

Today we see again that we must consider our own actions. We must consider if we are obedient to God’s commands and let God deal with others we find disobedient.

What about People Who Never Heard?

Our family has taken a number of flights during our years of missionary service with Trans World Radio on Guam. On of the first things they do on every flight is give you instruction on what to do if a plane loses cabin pressure or some other emergency.

First things we were told was to take care of yourself. If you don’t "put on the mask" or "life jacket" you will not be able to save others. This truth applies to those who earn the gospel.

Here are a couple of principles we need to apply.

  • You have heard, worry about yourself first. In any emergency situation you need to make sure you are able to help. If you are injured and fail to get treatment you will not be able to help other.
  • Be more concern with those who have heard but not responded. Many people have heard and haven’t believed, they are in danger of punishment just as much as people have never heard the truth
  • Romans 1:19 tells us that God has made it plain to all (maybe not all the details but enough for them to respond to Him). They have heard!
  • Jesus said, Matt 24:14, "This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The goal in our life must be two fold. If you have heard the gospel and have fail to believe then you must face this truth and decide to believe.

If you have believed the gospel, receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you MUST tell others. We have a obligation to tell those we meet and know.
