No Either/Or With Jesus

Who would you say Jesus was? There are some who call Jesus a "good man," others would say "he was a kind of prophet or teacher". What I want to say is if any of that is true that Jesus was either a liar or lunatic.

C.S. Lewis said, "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things that Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would be a lunatic — on a level with a man who says he is a poached egg ---- or else he would be the Devil of hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the son of God: or else a madman or something else (Mere Christianity)

Look at some of the things Jesus said.

Matt 12:6 "But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here NASU

Here Jesus is saying He is "greater then the temple"

Matt 16:16-17 16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 And Jesus said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. NASU

Here He says His father is in Heaven

Matt 23:37-38 37 " Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. NASU

Here, He wants to gather people like a hen gather chicks.

John 14:5-6 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. NASU

Here He says, He is the ONLY way to get to the Father in Heaven.

The problem with these statements is this, they are either true (and you must believe and respond accordingly) or they are false and Jesus is a great big liar and fraud.

How will you decide? You don’t get an either/or choice with Jesus. You must choose to obey Him completely or say He is a liar.

True or False – Jesus is the Son of God!
I believe the Bible clearly point to this being TRUE.
